Brand Trium (European brand owned firm Mitsubishi) not so long ago known on the market of mobile devices, but it has already established itself with a good hand. Phones with "space" named Mars, Galaxy, Astral, Eclipse, etc. performed technical qualities, are quite popular and do not cause special complaints from users. At the spring at CeBIT in Germany, Mitsubishi introduced a new model of cell phone combined with a PDA running Windows CE 3.0 - the smartphone. In the summer of apparatus with a full name Mitsubishi Trium Mondo Pocket PC appeared on the market. So, Mondo (Incidentally, the word Mondo - accidentally or specifically - is consonant with the word "mondial" - global). Externally, the device is very weakly and strongly reminiscent of the phone resembles a slightly redesigned handheld, Palm V series, or III. Mondo runs on Intel StrongARM processor with 166 MHz, equipped with 16 MB of SDRAM Flash ROM and 16 MB of SDRAM. - Like all older models of Trium, Mondo has built-in fax modem, operating at speeds up to 14400 baud, and a browser that supports WAP protocol version 1.1.
Communication smartphone provides quality, demonstrating a rather high sensitivity. It is possible to connect an external antenna in case of poor reception.Despite the opportunity to talk, traditionally pressing device to the ear, easier still to use the supplied headset hands-free. Currently, Mondo can only work in GSM, but it can be upgraded for use in GPRS networks with the help of the software driver. The only problem is that this firmware scheduled for release in the fall and and now the manufacturer's site is not about this word. On the other hand, the CCP Mondo is not perfect - black and white screen, 16 MB of memory and no expansion slots do not speak in his favor. But the combination of phone and PDA just fine - very handy for such a device the size of Web surfing, e-mail and SMS implemented at five, and must fully meet the needs of the average user. Very good solution for today's mobile business person who does not want to carry a laptop and they also need a constant connection with their partners.
